Weekly Planetary and Horoscope Sun Sign Report May 01 2023

Uncategorized Apr 27, 2023

The Sun connects with the communication planet Mercury in Taurus. And although this is not an unusual planetary interaction, right now Mercury is retrograde and the connection with the Sun does give it an added boost of energy. You can use this intensified energy between the Sun and Mercury to your advantage to revisit anything from the past that needs to be healed or brought out to the open but remember to speak from your heart and be straight, truthful, and sincere.

Transformational planet Pluto, right at the start of May, commences its retrograde transit, while it heads back into Capricorn through to early January 2024 when it will return to Aquarius and stay for most of the year. However, it will retrograde back to Capricorn again in the third quarter of 2024 for a few months before making its way back to Aquarius where it will take up residence for the best part of 20 years.

During this time over the next 18 months, while Pluto is going back and forth between Capricorn and Aquarius you can have mixed feelings between following traditions and boundaries and doing what you feel is right, which may be totally different to the traditions and boundaries. So, in this case, it can be unsettling, frustrating, and in some cases, just plain rebellious behavior can be exhibited.

Moving through the week, Venus will square Neptune, which can cause you to second-guess yourself and doubt what you thought you wanted, but don't get involved in mind games, instead, it’s more powerful to go inwards and trust your intuition.

Two major events will happen on the fifth of May when this month's full Moon is a lunar eclipse in Scorpio, which means the moon is in Scorpio and the Sun is in Taurus. This is the second eclipse (they come in pairs) and as we are still riding the mercury retrograde energy, you expect the ride to be a little bumpy.

You need to continue to fasten your seatbelt because the full Moon represents endings and new beginnings by letting go of things that are no longer serving you. And then you layer on top of this a full Moon that is a lunar eclipse in the powerful fixed signs of Scorpio and Taurus. Hang on, but not too tightly, be flexible so you can see what transpires next.

Your best move forward is the take a step back, watch what happens, try not to react to overreact, and instead, responding a calm and controlled manner. What transpires during a lunar eclipse can seem to be challenging, however, when looking back, you can realize that it was one of your greatest blessings hence you want to save your judgments for now and consider that things in life are happening for you rather than to you. It’s just that all the facts have not yet been revealed, so be patient.

The other event on the same day is Venus interacting in what’s called a sextile astral aspect with the abundant energy of planet Jupiter. This is amazing energy because both planets, Venus and Jupiter, represent positive energy and abundant planetary vibrations. To make the most of this planetary interaction is to monitor and be conscious and mindful of what you are thinking, how you are acting, and what you are saying. Be careful not to stay under a cloud of negativity, but instead, embrace a positive attitude and practice gratitude. Also, the sextile aspect brings opportunities and possibilities, another reason to keep your energy high. Find your happy place; do anything that puts a smile on your face!

The week concludes with Venus, the planet that governs love, money, and relationships, situated in Gemini, and as she will make her move into the next sign, which is the more sensitive sign of Cancer, she will join her masculine love partner, planet, Mars.

This is a week to observe, and know that whatever happens, there is more to come, so hold your judgments, for now!
