Welcome to the August planetary overview and highlights for 2023. The month kicks off with the full Moon in Aquarius, which highlights our need for freedom, independence, and connections with others. It's a great opportunity to gain a balance in our lives. On the same day, Mars will interact with Jupiter in an astral transition, creating opportunities to think more about the big picture and take action. 

In the second week of August, the Sun and Jupiter will square, which can be useful to show you what you don't want, so you gain clarity of what you do want. The conjunction of Venus and the Sun later in the week creates a fascinating time for love or monetary issues. However, keep in mind that Venus is still retrograde, highlighting past situations for either healing or closure.

The third week starts with the new Moon in Leo, a time to cast aside self-doubts and get clear about where you're heading and what you need to do to arrive at your desired destination. It's about taking charge and taking control of your life.

On the 23rd, our powerful Sun will move from Leo, the sign it rules, and enter Virgo. This energy shift emphasizes the importance of getting organized and finding a balance between work and self-care. It's an opportune time to set goals for both your career and overall well-being. Consider implementing better habits, disciplines, and routines to enhance your life.

Additionally, on the 24th, Mercury will begin its retrograde transit. Mercury is in Virgo, which is one of the signs Mercury rules, so it does put more emphasis on getting your life organized, which is very powerful to do right now as we are well into the second half of the year. So, this is the time to think through what you want to achieve and accomplish for the remainder of 2023. Make a plan and then put it into action step-by-step and this is an excellent activity for Mercury retrograde transit.

Planet Mars, the motivator, in Virgo, will interact with Pluto in Capricorn, once again, opening up opportunities, however, with anything to do with Mars, you do need to act quickly as there is some urgency always around this planet as well as impulsiveness. So, ensure you think through your next steps. Of course, you want to pay attention to your intuition as well, but make sure your intuition comes from your feeling emotional side rather than out of fear or logic.

Towards the end of the month, the Sun will be in opposition to Saturn, and the axis between the Sun in Virgo and Saturn in Pisces are very much opposite energies with Saturn liking to have things organized and lockdown and Pisces, preferring to go with the flow. I do very much like this interaction because it does help you get organized, and think things through, and is a very good aspect to get things in place now that can have some permanency for the future

Then the month completes with Uranus entering its retrograde transit, which provides us with a little thinking time to review where we are where we want to be, and how we are going to get there. On the 30th, we have the full Moon in Pisces to wrap up August, which is the perfect way to finish this month, as the new Moon will help us go forward and find the answers from our inner wisdom.
